Doug Holewa will likely complete Scott Pellerin’s staff, taking Matt Bertani’s place as an assistant after Bertani went up to the Islanders in late June. Holewa, son of Islanders front-office mainstay Joanne, has quite the bio. Meanwhile, the Islanders appear to have subtly named Matt Bain their new trainer, which would explain a (since deleted) tweet concerning one David Stickney*, formerly of Erie (OHL), coming to Bridgeport.

Spent some time with a few local (and non-local) golfers and hockey players at Mill River the other day; one of them, Cam Atkinson, has an event of his own coming up Sunday. Another, Max Pacioretty, was said to be showing up later. Wonder if this was why.
