Sharks-Tigers with more Bulldogs

Kenny Reiter had himself a nice start in the ECHL, and today in Worcester he gets his first AHL start of the year (and, you could argue, his first in a real, live, full-strength AHL game, since both teams were locked into place last year in his first start and didn’t dress the A-teams).

Four guys were wearing ‘A’s for Bridgeport in warmup, including Casey Cizikas, and it looks like that’s because Travis Hamonic will sit out the last game of a three-in-three. Had wondered, after seeing that, if it might have been a factor of a few minutes in last night’s second period, when he went off the ice in some discomfort but came back soon enough not to miss a shift. Told that’s not the case. So Jordan Hill makes his Bridgeport debut. Brett Gallant is back in for Jason Clark.

“Oh, Lisa. There’s no record of a hurricane ever hitting Springfield.” “Yes, but the records only go back to 1978, when the Hall of Records was mysteriously blown away!” 4F07

An awful lot of the Sound Tigers live near the Sound — their homes are in evacuation areas. The team was looking to firm up a place to ride out the storm. Kirill Kabanov had made it back home and now has to leave again.

Speaking of which, unless there’s something dramatic to report after the game, I’m probably going to bolt after I get the game story to the paper, so Postgameblog from home (assuming, you know, power and Internet). And the chat may also depend on how hard we get hit. Keep an eye on Twitter for updates on mundane postgame and hockey-chat stuff. Keep an eye on more important Twitter accounts for more important things.
