Back from break

(And not just Colby Cohen)

Bridgeport looks pretty much like it did last night, so that’s a good start. No Johan Sundstrom, but Matt Watkins apparently returns at full strength. Kirill Kabanov on home ice for just the second time.

Providence has one to scratch. Looks like Tommy Cross, as was foretold by Mark Divver this morning.

Busy transactions day. Brian Strait, claimed off waivers, would’ve probably gone unrestricted in the summer; instead, he signed for three years with the Islanders. Former Sound Tigers scattered around the AHL: Jon Sim to Adirondack, Tyler McNeely to Lake Erie and Brett Skinner to Grand Rapids on PTOs. And Scott Howes lost his PTO and got a full AHL contract from Springfield.
