Same 11-8-3 today as yesterday, same familiar combinations. No word of any changes. (But it is that time of year.) They tried some different treatment with John Persson, but he’s still not able to go, Scott Pellerin said, so he’s not likely available for the weekend, though he’ll continue to skate on his own.
Hadn’t realized until just now just how hot the P-Bruins have been. They were 20-16-0-3 in late January. They’re 38-19-0-5 now. (The 18-3-0-2 run includes five of their nine shootout wins, but 13-3-7 ain’t anything to sneeze at, either.)
Fairfield Prep. Fairfield (Warde and Ludlowe). In common? Well, hometown, obviously, but also: state champions, and their home rink is the Wonderland of Ice. Maybe the Sound Tigers can hope for a little magic to rub off. (What a couple of games to finish the high-school year.)
