Added forward/lost forward

Another Long Island guy on an ATO: Syosset’s Ben Rosen, late of BU. He was dressed as one of four fourth-line forwards. “We were kind of doing a little systems review, but he’s a smart hockey player,” Scott Pellerin said. “He made a good adjustment.”

He was wearing No. 9, which Sean Wiles had over the weekend before going back to Vegas. “We knew it was just going to be for the weekend. They’re getting into their playoffs,” Pellerin said. They were happy with him for sure.

John Persson skated with them, no-contact. Lines looked generally as they did Sunday otherwise. (As Jamie noted on Twitter this morning and it’s probably worth noting here, Jordan Hill practices on defense, even when he’s playing games up front.) The four on the fourth line were Halmo, Clark, Rosen and Kabanov, and for those of you asking about the latter, talked to him and Pellerin: see tomorrow’s paper.

In Syracuse, Jon Cooper got promoted to Tampa Bay, so Rob Zettler takes over the Crunch.

And RIP, Wayne Fleming and Virgil Trucks.
