The bodies seemed to be there to make an ECHL affiliation worthwhile for the first time in a few years, and today one was announced: We’re told Bridgeport will send at least four players to Stockton, a team with recent success and a team with both a new president, Brian Sandy, and new coach, former Islanders defenseman winger Rich Kromm.
Some other neat news today: Kevin Putzig, who has been around the Bridgeport room for what seems like forever, got himself a gig as equipment manager with Erie (OHL).
Another bit of a blast from the past as Randy Ladouceur becomes a Lake Erie assistant.
Had a fine couple of days at the Borck. Always fun.
And RIP, Eileen Brennan.
