Two days left

Season-opening rosters are due to the AHL this afternoon. There’s no roster limit, but at the same time, 25 skaters is a lot to carry. Scott Pellerin said they’ll talk and make final decisions back at Harbor Yard; he wouldn’t say whether or not they had decided to make any moves.

They actually had only 24 skaters this morning at the Wonderland of Ice: Brett Gallant got a maintenance day, Pellerin said. “Yesterday, he wasn’t feeling well, not 100 percent. We thought the best thing for him was to take a day off.” In his absence, Jason Clark was with Greg Miller and Alan Quine; Brayden Irwin, Sean Wiles and Justin Johnson skated together.

To correct myself, tonight’s the season-ticketholder meet-and-greet, not the Booster Club’s. Mea culpa. Booster Club does some good things, anyway.

They should be back at the big barn tomorrow, and then Year 13 begins Saturday.

More later if warranted.
