Tuesday injury update

Such as it is: Scott Pellerin said Chris Bruton will see a doctor tomorrow to have his upper-body injury reevaluated. Joe Finley’s own upper-body injury, “that situation hasn’t changed,” Pellerin said, and he remains out indefinitely.

They did some special-teams work earlier this morning, working on puck movement, and they did a lot of systems work in the main part of practice. “We feel prepared,” Pellerin said. He thought they’d had a couple of good days: “We did a lot of good things in the other game. We watched video of the second period,” and at 2-0 with five minutes to go, “we were right there. We made some mistakes that cost us. We’ve got learn from it, to learn to maintain and manage the game.”

Lines and stuff looked a lot like yesterday.

Hartford, meanwhile, got Jesper Fast back from the Rangers after their home opener Monday, which probably means the Islanders get to see Carl Hagelin tonight. (Thomas Vanek, etc.) (Matt Moulson has only scored two goals for Buffalo, if you missed it last night.)
