Clark (Andrew) up from Stockton

With Johan Sundstrom out indefinitely, the Sound Tigers brought up Andrew Clark from Stockton on a PTO. “We made the decision yesterday,” Scott Pellerin said. “We’ve had some great reports on him and the way he’s played in Stockton. He was ECHL player of the week. He’s earned a call up.”

Clark was 10-16-26 for the Thunder, good for seventh in the ECHL (Matt Pistilli, 14-19-33, leads it). That’s after scoring 21 points in 22 playoff games last year after finishing at Acadia University (two-year teammate of Chris Bruton’s; he also played with Matt Lowry on at least two junior teams). Today, he mixed in at different spots on what’d been the Bouchard-Quine-Kabanov line. There was a tweak or two in defense pairs, though Pellerin said that was more for special-teams looks than anything. We’ll see.

The team visited Norwalk and Bridgeport Hospitals yesterday with Teddy Bear Toss toys, Amanda Cuda blogs at What the Health?

“Darryl Sutter has some big ideas for the penalty box.” First they came for the goal judges… Then they came for the enforcers… Etc.

And RIP, Larry Lujack.
