Albany pregame: Persson back

Yet another upper-body injury as Riley Wetmore remains out after being hit in the head with a clearing attempt last night. With that, John Persson returns from his own upper-body injury. He’s missed 18 of the past 20.

Mike Cornell returns from his suspension. Scooter Vaughan took the rushes with the forwards; on his off wing, no less. He’s played forward earlier in his career.

While Bridgeport has one to scratch (looked like Wiles), Albany’s a man short.

Meanwhile, the penalty kill has been perfect four games in a row, 21-for-21, two away from the top 10 in team history. Actually, against everyone but Albany, it’s killed off 28 in a row. (Against Albany in two games in between, the Devils are 6-for-13.)

Yep, Graham Skilliter. Good to see Kevin Redding back; last we saw him was that Norfolk game when he wound up injured by the benches.
