All-Stars from away, Day 1

That is a whole lot of awesome flags. Hoping for four songs.

NESN and MSG Plus and AHL Live tonight if you want to watch it; 6:30 p.m. start. Make it NESN Plus or MSG+2* tomorrow for the game itself.**

Rosters: PlanetAHL (Ryan Strome wears 81) and Farjestad (Radek Hamr’s an assistant coach. Missed that. Former New Haven Senators defenseman, back when he was 18 years old). Haven’t seen the lineups yet for tonight’s skillsy festivities. Edit: Here they are. Strome’s in the accuracy contest.

News from the real hockey world, from Arthur Staple: Frans Nielsen got his hand broken in the Isles’ last game. If he’s not ready to go once the Olympic break ends, the Isles, as everything stands, will need a forward. (Bridgeport coincidentally has an all-star centerman…)

The AHL Hall of Fame ceremony streams courtesy of the IceCaps Wednesday morning at 10. New Haven fans may not want to read this about one of the inductees.

Pete Dougherty writes on Albany’s attendance woes and the possibility that the Devils could look elsewhere as early as this summer.

And RIP, Shirley Temple Black.

*-They’re the ones that did Concrete and Clay, yeah?
**-Original NESN has college basketball tomorrow. Whatever. Don’t know what’s on Original MSG Plus. Or as we like to call it, SportsChannel. ‘Cause we’re old.
