Nilsson up, Poulin down

The Islanders swapped goalies this morning, sending Kevin Poulin to Bridgeport, calling up Anders Nilsson.

Since his last stint in the NHL, when Evgeni Nabokov was out injured, Nilsson has had his best stretch in two years. He had played nine of the past 10, winning his last six. He has a .918 save percentage and a 2.34 goals-against average in those nine games.

Poulin hasn’t played since Jan. 27, with help/harm from the Olympic break. His last AHL game was Feb. 22, 2013, kind of a momentous day.
