Haggerty to the Rangers

The Rangers just announced they’ve signed Stamford’s Ryan Haggerty to an entry-level deal. The contract begins this year, so he’s going straight to the Rangers for the rest of the year.

Haggerty was a Hobey Baker nominee this year, scoring 28 goals and 15 assists as a junior for RPI. He had 47 goals in three years for the Engineers.

Haggerty was a standout at Trinity Catholic before he went to the U.S. National Team Development Program (along with Westport’s Michael Paliotta, who’s at Vermont; caught up with both to talk Olympics earlier this year).
