New guys: Manchester pregame

Guy Leboeuf makes his pro debut on that amateur tryout. Pronounce both names French, Guy Lafleurish: He is Florida born and raised, West Palm as the bio says, but his dad’s from Montreal. Game plan is to be that big, tough defenseman in his own end but willing to join the rush if he can. He’s wearing No. 2.

Kevin Moore (edit: catches right, BTW) is in the area, coaching goalies at Mike Buckley’s Goaltending Development Services and for the Junior Monarchs. “When you’re teaching goaltending, you’re getting that mental repetition,” Moore said. He’ll wear No. 33 behind Kenny Reiter.

Looks like Alan Quine moves up to the spot where Johan Sundstrom had been, with Joel Broda moving to the middle, and with the reconfigured Persson-Clark-Langlois line as the latter makes his Bridgeport debut.

Joe Finley gets the third ‘A’ in Sundstrom’s absence. One to scratch each way, though all indications were Cantin and Crescenzi.

As asked on The Twitter, coming into the night, 11 men have suited up as a backup goalie for Bridgeport but never played. Name ’em!

Next Sunday is Max’s Star Wars Birthday Party here. Darn it, Monarchs, you couldn’t do that tonight? (Saw a car on the way over here that had one of those family decals on the back window. Boba Fett, Leia, Vader, C-3PO and R2-D2.)
