“It’s little things,” Jeremy Langlois said after his first three points in the AHL. “I think we played hard again tonight. … We were cycling well. We kept it in their end.”
They got back in the penalty box again, repeatedly, constantly in the second, and it cost them three goals. But Adirondack never caught up after Bridgeport took a 3-0 lead.
They have “a lot of guys playing to establish themselves in this league,” Scott Pellerin said. “It’s a good league with a lot of good hockey players. We’ve got to find the right chemistry to have success.”
They seemed to have some with Joey Martin, Andrew Clark and Langlois, who scored four of the five goals.
“Obviously I know Marty, how he plays, what he’s like, what his tendencies are,” Clark said. “We didn’t get to play with each other a ton when we were in Stockton, but you learn from practice. (Langlois) is an easy player to play with.”
Adirondack’s reeling pretty hard itself, and one game does not a turnaround make, usually. But for this group, it’s a relief.

The first goal was a big relief after 178:48. It started with Dimitry Antipin, on his third professional shift, throwing a hit and winning a one-on-two battle to retrieve a dump-in and get it to Chris Langkow. Langkow fed Scooter Vaughan for a good shot and one of those goals we seemed to remember.
Antipin got some praise from Pellerin and was pretty happy himself, except for a tripping penalty with 6:07 left. “I was a little nervous, but as soon as I got on the ice, that was gone,” Antipin said. “I felt great. I had so much fun. It was probably the best day of my life so far.”
Andrey Pedan left the game after taking a hit from Ben Holmstrom; he went to the bench, seemed to be trying out his arm, took one more shift (took a penalty), but that was it. Pellerin said he’ll be evaluated.
Prescout. Down 2-0 four minutes in, come back to get a point. Micheal Haley with a goal and two fights. So Wednesday will be for third place with 13 games to go.
No Ryan Pulock for a while: Brandon clinched a WHL playoff spot last night.
Day off tomorrow for them; more Tuesday unless warranted, and this time of year, you never know.
