Offday notes

–Tuesday’s was Justin Johnson’s first fight since the “legal line change” fight with Zack Stortini in Norfolk in early January.

–Chris Bruton is Bridgeport’s Man of the Year for his community and charity work, and thus is the team’s nominee for the league’s Yanick Dupre Award. Utica nominated Brandon DeFazio, last year’s Bridgeport nominee. Chicago nominated Michael Davies, here briefly a few years ago.

–Mathieu Gagnon, pretty sure of the order there, became the 400th man to play for the Sound Tigers on Tuesday. (I mean he did it on Tuesday, not that there were 400 players on Tuesday. It only feels like there have been 400 players since the trade deadline.)

–Jason Clark’s coming up from Stockton, as Tuesday’s ECHL transactions foretold. At this writing, he’s got No. 11 on the online roster, a simple assignment of Andrew Clark’s sweater rather than swapping nameplates.

–News from Bakersfield, sort of: former Sound Tiger Greg Miller had two assists for Oklahoma City; Joel Broda’s back just in time for his bobblehead night.

–Remember Mike Halmo? Scored his first NHL goal Tuesday.

–Neglected to mention: Team was off Wednesday. More Thursday.
