Game 7 in NEPA/Morris speaks: Monday notes

There’ll be a Game 7 on Saturday Wednesday at Wilkes-Barre. A controversial disallowed goal went against the Penguins, and the Bruins went on to win 4-1 after an empty-netter. So two years in a row with a seven-game series between these two. Hey, realign and put ’em in the same division.

Tim Leone caught up with Mark Morris for an interesting chat on Hershey, and on development and veterans, among other things.

At the Worlds, Finland gave itself a chance to move on with a win over Kazakhstan. Belarus made it tough on Latvia, but it looks like Latvia can still knock out the Finns with a win Tuesday against Switzerland. The Americans (who play at 5:45 in the morning) can finish second in the pool with a win and a Belarus loss to Russia.

Anders Nilsson got the day off in Sweden’s win over Italy, and France won again (big) and will move on to the playoffs.

And me, just had a perfect game in a possible playoff preview to write, no big deal.
