After midnight, so GAMEDAY: Thursday notes

OK, how long has that Tim Hortons been in the gas station on Old Country Road, and why was I not informed?

Over on the Big Club side this morning to do an advance for Friday’s game, which the Sound Tigers announced this afternoon is sold out. Should be a fun crowd. We’ll see what the banged-up defense looks like, but the second group that skated today included a Brock Nelson-John Tavares-Kyle Okposo line, which could be fun. John Persson and Johan Sundstrom were together again, with Jack Skille. And the two first-round draft picks from this summer were also together. Should be some interesting things to watch. And hopefully write about.

Kael Mouillierat had the Islanders’ only goal Thursday night in Jersey.

Had been wondering about the absence of Jason Clark from most reports (and at least one commenter joined in); the team says he’s not medically cleared, still suffering concussion symptoms.

Bridgeport announced its promotions schedule. Star Wars Day, then. We may need some running Twitter gags that day.

Per EliteProspects, Nathan Lawson to Austria.

And an actual hockey game Friday night. Quite ready.
