Stockton report: Week 2/Monday notes

Our irregular peek across the country…

Oct. 24: Alaska 6, Stockton 4
Oct. 25: Stockton 4, Alaska 1

A goal and an assist apiece for Peter Sivak and Adam Phillips on Friday, but Stockton blew a 3-1, second-period lead to lose. Islanders draft pick Jason Gregoire had the Aces’ second goal and an empty-netter. Phillipe Trudeau made 33 saves.
Saturday, Stockton reclaimed the lead late in the first period, and Shane Owen made your routine 49 saves — 15, 14, 20, by period — make sure it held up. Lukas Sutter picked up his first pro point.
West Haven’s Mike Pereira had an assist in both games, coincidentally on both first goals. Keith Seabrook remained out injured.

They’re off to Idaho for three games this week, but apparently they go without BST camper Tyler Shattock: ECHL transactions say he was loaned to Worcester.

…..

Springfield sent Scott Munroe back to Kalamazoo after getting Oscar Forsberg back from Columbus. Portland made it official: BizNasty’s a Pirate.

Dave Eminian got great stuff from Justin Cseter, the player whose leg was gashed in an SPHL game Saturday in Peoria.

And RIP, Marcia Strassman, Dale Dorman, and Edilia Arvelo and Oscar Taveras.
