Ness 1-for-2: Sunday notes

Aaron Ness false-started in his puck-control relay heat. No problem: He started on time the second time and beat Phil Varone of Rochester by a hair to earn a point for the Eastern Conference. The visitors beat the host Western Conference 15-11 in the skills contest. The game is Monday at 7 p.m.

Hopefully travel is possible after that. Stay warm and dry and safe.

Manchester’s Colin Miller completed an interesting sweep: Fastest skater and hardest shot. Would’ve loved to see Ryan Pulock in the latter, but stuff happens.

Kevin Oklobzija suspects a gag order about the Pacific Division. Jonathan Bombulie had some notes on the day.

And RIP, Joe Franklin and Peggy Charren.
