Green lights: Pulock, Thursday notes

Cory Conacher and Matt Lashoff were on the ice today with the Sound Tigers as they came back from break, prepared for a (break-wise) second half that’ll need a push to make the playoffs, which seemed so much a given at the start of the year.

They may get a little help. May. Eventually.

Brent Thompson said after practice that Ryan Pulock is expected to get back on the ice tomorrow, assuming everything goes as expected today. Pulock, out injured since taking a hit on Jan. 2, had been under a rest-and-rehab program the past three weeks or so to see how he responded. Guess that’s good news, then.

“I guess so, otherwise there wouldn’t be a green light to skate him,” Thompson said. “It’s one day at a time after that. We’re not going to rush him. I don’t think he’ll be shooting or anything like that.”

So no kind of timetable. There’s always the chance plans could change again. But that’s a start.

Thompson said he doesn’t think there’s a timetable on Sebastian Collberg yet, but that Mike Halmo could at least resume skating next week.

Chris Langkow was again in that Collberg spot.

And from San Jose, the AHL plans to stream its Pacific Division presser here at 3:30 Eastern.

Completely unrelated: Key and Peele’s East-West Bowl 3 is a thing of beauty.
