Illness, injury and more snow: Thursday notes

Tweaked lines this morning put former Brown linemates Harry Zolnierczyk and Jack MacLellan back together. Meanwhile, John Persson sat out sick. He was at the doctor while Brent Thompson spoke, and Thompson sounded doubtful that Persson would make the trip.

Brett Gallant took practice in a red no-contact sweater; he’ll be seeing the doctor as well, and if things look OK, he’s possible for the end of the weekend. Ryan Pulock continues to practice with them.

A good, hard-working practice. “They’ve worked very hard this week,” Thompson said. “Hopefully that commitment will translate (into wins).”

Syracuse: banged up, still winning. They claimed Nicolas Deschamps off waivers from Lehigh Valley (he started the year in Europe) today.

Elsewhere, Jamie Palatini and Corey Hersch alerted us to this Puck Daddy post of Mikko Koskinen making a wacky save in the KHL. Everyone buries the lead (or lede, as some would have it) here: Mikko’s wearing 19? (Appears he did in Novosibirsk as well…)

And… ENOUGH
