Travel delays: Hartford pregame

Charlottetown was eliminated last night. Ross Johnston was on his way but may not have made it out of the airport in time; was supposed to be in, but appears not tonight. (Well, maybe Bridgeport just announced his ATO, which probably means he’s in the building. But Brent Thompson this morning said he wasn’t going to rush the kid in if he got here late.)

Whenever Johnston debuts, he’ll do it in No. 56, which had been the lowest number never worn by a Sound Tiger. The lows now are 62, 64 and 66-70.

Lukas Sutter and Carson McMillan stayed home sick, but they’ll have a couple of bodies to swap in and out tomorrow, with Brett Gallant on the trip and eligible to return in Syracuse.

Meanwhile, Calder Brooks makes his pro debut as well (Brent Thompson called that ATO/technically PTO line “The Minions,” so, yeah, think I will, too). Matt Carkner moves to the left with Griffin Reinhart up (four righties in the lineup). C.J. Motte in net tonight.
