Manchester lost 3-2, and in the war of attrition, they got hit hard, losing J.S. Berube and MVP Brian O’Neill to injuries. (They’d signed goalie Jeff Lerg to a PTO this week, so maybe there was something going on.) Utica, back in the series after two overtime losses, lost Hunter Shinkaruk and Brandon DeFazio. We’ll see who’s around for the rest of the series: There’ll be two games now, guaranteed, Friday and Saturday in Utica.
There’ll be a Game 7 in the Kelly Cup Final. South Carolina forced it with a 4-1 over Allen on Wednesday. Game 7 is Sunday at 5 Eastern in Texas.
