Westport/Stamford reunion: Saturday notes

Out of touch all day*, but one of the radio stations gave me a heads up on the way home about the Rangers’ trade for a Talbot-replacing backup, Antti Raanta. That deal had the side effect of reuniting Michael Paliotta and Ryan Haggerty, the latter dealt in the trade, with Chicago. They’re a couple of Fairfield County kids, NTDP teammates, and now teammates again in the Blackhawks organization. Cool.

The Islanders maneuvered a bit and wound up with five more defensemen in the second day of the draft. One of them is Andong Song, the first Chinese-born player taken in the NHL draft.

Onetime Sound Tigers and Quinnipiac forward Jeremy Langlois signed an entry-level deal with San Jose, the Sharks announced.

*-Splendid time, rain held off just long enough, wish it didn’t ’cause lost 12-9, don’t ask, kthxbye
