Kiddie Camp, Ex-Files Galore: Monday notes

The Islanders have moved west, so naturally their rookie camp moves… closer to Nassau Coliseum. Tuesday is the first day of kiddie camp, and they scrimmage at Barclays on Wednesday*.

Two all-time Sound Tigers go in different directions the past couple of days. Tampa Bay announced Sunday that they’ve signed Jeff Tambellini, who has spent the past couple of years in and out of Europe. Today, Berlin announced it’s signed Bruno Gervais.

Meanwhile, Brandon DeFazio signs with Boston. Anders Nilsson’s rights went to Edmonton in a trade from Chicago, and then the Oilers signed him.

And Richard Seeley, third captain of the Sound Tigers, is the first ECHL coach in Manchester, where he was also once AHL captain.

*-Me, I’m not going to end my lifelong streak of not putting two feet on the ground in Brooklyn for a scrimmage. (I may be otherwise occupied, too, but…)
