No goals, no points: Hartford pregame

Looks like Mike Halmo is a healthy scratch today after a couple of games on the fourth line (but the second power play), one of several players who haven’t put many points on the board the past few weeks. He has one point in the past six games and two in the past 11. But he’s not alone. Alan Quine has one point in eight games. So does Ryan Pulock. And that’s just the top offensive guys who’ve been around the whole stretch. Taylor Beck has one in four since he came back down.

Obviously, you score seven goals in six games as a team — with five of those in one game, three for one guy — and those kinds of stats are inevitable. One kind of follows the other.

Bridgeport tries to rebound from last night’s late disaster against Hartford, which is also playing its third in three and had a bus ride last night. Christopher Gibson is back in goal, and Matt Carkner is back in the lineup.

Hartford has its only 18 healthy skaters on for warmup. Magnus Hellberg goes right back in after beating Wilkes-Barre last night.
