Bridgeport called up Jesse Root from Missouri this afternoon. The ex-Yalie, one of many who made a preseason impression, was 13-15-28 for the ECHL-leading Mavericks, who’ve won 14 in a row. Those 13 goals lead the league, and the 28 points are two behind onetime Sound Tigers forward Chad Costello.
This could be as simple as bringing up a guy tearing up the Coast, but it could also mean something about Sebastian Collberg. Suppose we’ll see in the morning.
