Petrov returns… : Providence pregame

Kirill Petrov plays his first game tonight since he broke his foot Nov. 4. How many more will he play here? We’ll see: Arthur Staple reports that Petrov is considering a return home. For tonight, he’s with Ben Holmstrom and Justin Florek.

Things look relatively recent-familiar otherwise. Josh Holmstrom looks like Bridgeport’s last scratch. Providence has eight defensemen on for warmup with 11 healthy and unsuspended forwards on the roster; Tommy Cross rushed with the forwards but is expected on D, and Frankie Simonelli didn’t rush. Benn Ferriero indeed debuts.

This should be the box.

Bridgeport scratches (believed healthy unless noted): Johnston (lower body), Quine (lower body), Jones (lower body), likely J.Holmstrom, Leduc, Finn.

Josh Holmstrom has the first initial on his nameplate. Ben, as usual, does not.

RestWatch ’15-16: Looks like Portland will be in Bridgeport long before Bridgeport will. Pirates played Wednesday.

Spoiler-free review of The Movie: J.J., you magnificent bastard. Almost geek-cried a few times. Leaked a little once. When (SPOILER) and (SPOILER) first (SPOILER) at the (SPOILER), I almost (SPOILED) myself. (From Wilkes-Barre, there’s this.)
