Vazzano vs. Vazzano: Springfield pregame

When Arizona called for Niklas Treutle today, Springfield signed Alex Vazzano to a pro tryout. He’s the Trumbull kid, formerly of Fairfield Prep, the University of Vermont, Sacred Heart.

And he’s the little brother of Sound Tigers video coach John Vazzano. First time they’ll go head to head, even if Marek Langhamer is getting the start for the Falcons and Johnny will be up in the press box.

Apparently the same lineup for Bridgeport tonight, right down to Connor Jones as the apparent extra warmup skater, so if the New York Islanders want anybody for Calvin de Haan, they haven’t sent down a missive to rest anyone. The Falcons, meanwhile, have Dylan Reese back on defense.
