Sacred Heart extended its season tonight at Bentley: Justin Danforth scored 13:06 into overtime to force Game 3 of the series tomorrow night.
The Connecticut Whale also have to play tomorrow, but from the other side. Buffalo took a big early lead and beat the Whale 4-1. They’ll meet again Sunday at 6 at Chelsea Piers in Stamford.
UConn wasn’t so lucky. The Huskies’ season came to an end with a 4-3 loss to Vermont in Game 2 in Hartford. Next stop for Tage Thompson is the NHL draft. (Well, probably a class or five for the next two months, too, what.)
