Same as it was (but not): Tuesday notes

The basic array at Tuesday’s brisk practice was the same as it has been; Justin Vaive practiced, though he split time with Tanner Fritz in that spot (well, Vaive on the left, Fritz on the right, Justin Florek swapping). Brent Thompson termed Vaive day-to-day; they’ll see how he feels.

Scott Mayfield took the whole practice, said he’s feeling really good. Thompson said he’s out tomorrow and still “week to week,” but sounds like progress. Still no Marc-Andre Cliche.

Springfield picked up an ATO forward, draft pick Hunter Fejes. The Falcons also sent Josh Robinson back to Missouri with Marek Langhamer back from the Coyotes.

A few of the players skated after practice with the Gaylord Sports Association’s Connecticut Wolfpack sled hockey team. Fun to watch. They looked like they were having a blast themselves.

Syracuse’s Mike Angelidis could miss the rest of the regular season after he was hurt in the Bridgeport game, and it’s more meaningful than that, as Lindsay Kramer writes.
