A few Tuesday notes

The carousel turned in the AHL: Mark Morris, as had been rumored and reported for a while, left Charlotte to take over at St. Lawrence.

TEAM Old New
BIN Luke Richardson (4/18)
MTB Keith McCambridge (4/22)
SA Dean Chynoweth (4/26)
CHA Mark Morris (5/3, St. Lawrence)

The Penguins recalled Steve Oleksy and Tom Sestito from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Meanwhile, Frankie Vatrano is off to the World Championship.

Edit: Posted this and then saw current World Championship rosters from the IIHF. There you go. Former Sound Tigers include Johan Sundstrom for Sweden, Nino Niederreiter for Switzerland, Tomas Marcinko for Slovakia, and Mikko Koskinen (and, technically, sorta, Ville Pokka) for Finland.

The USHL draft wrapped up with, at least that I caught, no locals. Got a kick out of Ben Solin of Madison being selected by… Madison, which also took Islanders draft pick Andong Song four rounds later.

And the ECHL named Missouri coach Richard Matvichuk its hockey executive of the year. The Mavericks get back at it Wednesday night, and both Eastern Conference AHL series begin Wednesday as well. (Toronto-Albany should be a lot of fun. Two deep, fast, creative teams. This may be the toughest test the Marlies get; Ontario may be the only one close.)
