DraftWrap ’16: Saturday notes

So while I was out, the Islanders traded up in, then back into, the fourth round for a couple of Europeans including one highly regarded Russian forward. College/European on everybody except their last pick.

Locally, Patrick Harper of New Canaan went 138th to Nashville (thanks to the guys on the desk for updating the story). UConn’s Joseph Masonius went to the Penguins at 181, and Quinnipiac’s Chase Priskie to Washington at 177.

Graham McPhee, son of George McPhee and thus son of Nighthawk, to Edmonton at 149, as I was reminded.

Retweeted but not blogged last night, guess he’s got a home, and — good for him — it’s a good one: Aaron Ness got two more years from the Capitals.

And RIP, Ralph Stanley, Stu Nisbet and Jim Hickman.
