FA ’16 running Day 2 notes

A couple from this morning to start us off (on a day, again, I’ll likely be distracted, but…):

Trevor Smith reportedly returns to North America with Nashville. General Fanager has it as a two-year deal. Edit, 3:30 p.m.: Nashville confirms.

And Tyler Barnes, who played last year on a Bridgeport AHL contract, signed with Rockford, along with former Sound Tigers and Quinnipiac forward Jeremy Langlois.

4:23: RIP, Elie Wiesel.

5:10: The Islanders bring back P.A. Parenteau on a one-year deal.

5:40: Distracted by penalty kicks for the moment in Italy-Germany, but the Sabres announced they’ve acquired Anders Nilsson from St. Louis for a draft pick.

Sometime late: Since I never wrapped this up anyway, programming note: Off this week, though not planning on being anywhere exotic, so will probably be around if anything happens.
