Summer is for golf, after all: Monday notes

Realized today how long it has been since the last post. Been a little busy. Sunday in particular was kinda cool.

Today came down video of this chaos in a KHL exhibition game. I was looking for Tomas Marcinko in that mess, and apparently the reason I couldn’t find him is that he was reportedly the first victim. Hopefully OK.

Alumni/locals watch: Blair Riley to Ireland. Eric Hartzell to Fort Wayne.

Jay Leach and Trent Whitfield are now assistants in Providence. Speaking of, Ryan Hardy, ex-Sacred Heart assistant and Hand High School head coach, reportedly joins the Bruins as a scout.

Gabe Landeskog on concussions.

Enfield’s Craig Janney joins Bill Belisle and the 1996 World Cup team, chosen today to the US Hockey Hall of Fame. His bio somehow doesn’t include the two CIAC championships.

RIP, Deon Boe, David Huddleston and, well-belatedly, Gary Paxton.

And RIP, Richard Thompson. His comic strip “Cul de Sac” was a must-read, and he did plenty more.
