Bernier official: Tuesday notes

Steve Bernier cleared waivers at noon, and the Islanders announced officially that he’s a Sound Tiger. That said, the Sound Tigers had already practiced, and they’re doing some team building tomorrow and won’t be on the ice, so his on-ice debut waits. We’ll pick them back up Thursday, too.

Bernier will be the first Sound Tiger to wear No. 37 since Tyler Gron near the end of 2011-12. Technically he makes six veterans, but that includes the injured Stephen Gionta, as well as Eric Boulton, who isn’t here.

Colin Markison wasn’t on the ice; he was at the doctor, Brent Thompson said, getting a lower-body injury checked out.

Elsewhere, the Bruins’ goaltending tandem tonight is the usual Subban/McIntyre… wait, which Bruins”>’?

Your routine three-for-one AHL trade sent Adam Pardy from Springfield to Milwaukee.

Solid burn from the White Sox at those who forgot that Chicago has won a thing or two since 1908.

And way belatedly noted, RIP, John D. Loudermilk. Prolific and brilliant songwriter. Sorry I missed that.
