Brent Thompson this morning reiterated that he expects everyone to get in this weekend; those out tonight (Ross Johnston, Travis St. Denis, Loic Leduc, and like we talked about yesterday, perhaps not-on-trip Eric Boulton) aren’t out for long.
First time the captaincy trio* has been broken up, with Scott Mayfield up; Steve Bernier gets the other ‘A’ tonight. The Penguins look rather different than they did in Bridgeport, for assorted reasons, but at least we get to see Stamford’s Ryan Haggerty. I swiped the Penguins’ lines straight off Mike O’Brien’s tweets; I think they rushed in a different order, so that’s what I get for stealing. (They’re far away. I’m guessing on that ‘A’ for Porter; that or a chinstrap out of place.)
Johnston and Pat McGrath are by all indications the scratches. In an alternate universe, we’re waiting for their first shift against each other. Edit: And when McGrath was announced as a scratch, there was an audible “Ohhhh.”
