Gionta, Markison on: Tuesday notes

Bridgeport returned to work with two players returning in a different way: Colin Markison, out almost a month now, and Stephen Gionta, returning from a broken leg in NHL preseason. Brent Thompson isn’t expecting either of them to be in immediately — Markison isn’t even cleared for contact, departed early — but they’re closer.

Carter Verhaeghe was back in his usual spot, with Josh Winquist moved to where Andrew Rowe had been in the home games.

From EliteProspects, Jared Gomes to Germany after a stop in Italy.

There’s an Islanders fan movement to get J-F Berube to the NHL All-Star Game. Hey, the man can use the work.

The Roadrunners postponed tonight’s and tomorrow’s games while captain Craig Cunningham remains in critical condition.

Veteran Pascal Pelletier is rejoining Utica.

And RIP, Susan Tuz.
