Goalie change: Providence pregame

In the back-to-back, both teams swap goalies. Bridgeport starts Stephon Williams, trying to bounce back from a loss last weekend against Springfield. Providence goes to Zane McIntyre, who in the AHL this year is only 11-0 with a 1.44 GAA and a .950 SP. But as we saw last night, 747 minutes is not enough to qualify for your AHL leaderboard, so, whatever.

Carter Verhaeghe makes his Bridgeport return. Josh Holmstrom returns for Colin Markison, and Loic Leduc returns for Jesse Graham, and Travis St. Denis swaps lines with Michael Dal Colle. Brent Thompson said that there was another change he was still mulling a couple of hours before game time, but doesn’t look like that has materialized; Andrew Rowe and Providence’s Ben Marshall looked like the extras in warmup.

Bridgeport scratches (believed healthy unless noted): Gibson (lower body), Cullity (lower body), Graham, Bernier (upper body), Boulton, Markison, apparently Rowe.

A couple of linesman swaps this weekend (different linesmen in and out each time, for what it’s worth). After this one, the next two games will have a ref that hasn’t worked a Bridgeport game before.
