And off to Utica: Thursday notes

Deadlines all behind them, the Sound Tigers are what they are right now. College kids, maybe junior kids, will surely show up eventually, but as they prepared to get on the bus, all was pretty much as it was the other night. No Travis St. Denis. Pat Cullity and Connor Jones (in red no-contact) stayed on late and got a bag skate with Eric Boulton from the coaches.

No Utica for us as usual, so liveblog here after we shovel out yet again, then home games Saturday and Sunday. (And another basketball game before all that.)

Fun fact learned last night after he scored both goals in Glastonbury’s big upset of Notre Dame-West Haven: Trevor Suydam of the Tomahawks is the nephew of Sondra and Dave Baseggio. Apparently their son Mike got his cousin playing. Worked out all right for Glastonbury. Think that might be locked into upset of the tournament already, actually. Well, unless they keep winning. (Branford beating Westhill/Stamford was surprising, but not all that stunning; heck, it’s Division II, where it’s news if something wacky doesn’t happen.)
