Not even ‘kind’ of a big one: Springfield pregame

Once more: A Bridgeport win tonight, and tomorrow is at least meaningful. A Bridgeport loss tonight, and it’s going to need help from Wilkes-Barre and Lehigh Valley. The Hershey and Providence clinching scenarios are here. If they both clinch, there’s obviously no room for the Sound Tigers.

Bridgeport runs as it has run the past couple of days in practice. Roughly, anyway: Pelech spent some time on the right in practice but just rushed on the left. Anyway, his first AHL game since Jan. 4 (Jaroslav Halak’s first AHL game of the year), Josh Ho-Sang’s first since Feb. 26 and Connor Jones’ first since March 31. Eamon McAdam’s eighth start in a row. Indeed, a reunited Green Line from the early days of the season; Stevens in the middle with the captain on the right; 17-24-26 from midseason. One to scratch both ways.
