Welcome to Worcester: Thursday notes

As Bill Ballou has been reporting awhile (Gerry Cantlon was on it as well), Worcester’s an Islanders affiliate. It’s a modern-era first, as we talked about the other day, for Bridgeport to have its affiliate this close, and it’ll be interesting to see how they utilize that kind of proximity. Brent Thompson, Eric Cairns and, as we figured, Eric Boguniecki were on hand for that announcement tonight.

We gonna road trip to the Coast? We’ll see.

Wilkes-Barre held on to beat Providence in Game 3 tonight. The Pens can wrap it up tomorrow, as can Syracuse and Toronto. And the slacker Pacific Division gets back to work, too.
