Islanders send Sound Tigers to Bridgeport ’17

There were four players in this morning’s first group at Islanders practice who’d require waivers.

Renaud Lavoie reports this afternoon that all four are on waivers.

It was what it looked like. The Islanders’ official announcement sends most of Bridgeport to Bridgeport, leaving no tryouts up top and, once waivers shake out, leaving the Big Club at 15 healthy forwards, eight defensemen and two goalies, two players above the opening-night limit.

Expecting a full training-camp roster tomorrow for the Sound Tigers, but expecting Ben Holmstrom, Casey Bailey and Yanick Turcotte, released from their NHL tryouts, to be among the tryouts here as well.
