Days to days: Thursday notes

Ryan Bourque got the day off today, but both Connor Jones and Stephen Gionta practiced in real-boy colors today, losing the no-contact red. Brent Thompson said all three of them are day-to-day. That’s an improvement for Gionta, who was still being termed week-to-week not all that long ago.

So they’ll see how they all do tomorrow (“maintenance day,” Thompson said, so not everyone will skate) and Saturday morning before Charlotte comes in to start a two-game Bridgeport weekend.

Last night’s box score is de-glitched, so the shots are right now. Eight for Casey Bailey.

Tough one for Adam Erne last night.

Neat story on George Washington’s tent, a highlight of the Museum of the American Revolution in Philly, and how the museum acquired a painting of it… done by Pierre Charles L’Enfant.

Some extensive Wrigley Field renovations.

And Wally Backman to manage New Britain? I agree with Doug.
