All in / Pellerin captain: Thursday notes

All hands on deck at practice Thursday morning, where outside it’d snowed just enough to screw up the roads and the cars. Inside was fine enough, as was Casey Bailey, who apparently got a clean bill of health (“maybe it’ll make him faster,” Brent Thompson quipped). Stephen Gionta between Michael Dal Colle and Shane Prince. Scott Eansor on the wing with Connor Jones and Ben Holmstrom. Three in three to come.

Former Sound Tigers coach Scott Pellerin was named an honorary captain for the All-Star Game next month in Utica, where he played as a Devils farmhand. Craig Cunningham is the other honorary captain.

Meanwhile… ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOPERSTARS, YOU GUYS. (Yes, I am absurdly excited.)

Worcester lost in Glens Falls 3-2; a goal for Kellen Jones. They’ll do it again Friday.

Quite the story from Kalamazoo on onetime Sound Tigers forward Justin Taylor, hit in the face by a shot in the spring.

Boston put Matt Beleskey on waivers.

RIP, Pat DiNizio and Bill Steinkraus.

And… five years. There are pictures up downstairs of Matt Watkins and Brock Nelson with the green ribbons on their sweaters.
