Ways to have fun in Connecticut on the cheap

A regatta you just gotta see!

Looking for a weekend of yachts, classic cars and rare motorcycles? Kick off summer with the Fifteenth Annual Greenwich Conours d’ Elegance June 5th and 6th and experience the luxury life on the cheap. Autos and art merge in this grand weekend regatta, and all proceeds benefit charity. Visitors can browse art and memorabilia or test drive the latest models on the road. There will also be a showing of 12-meter yachts, with opportunities to sail.

Events are as follows:

Saturday June 5th – Greenwich Concours Americana, featuring American cars from the 1900’s to present.

Sunday June 6th – The Regatta really revs up with The Greenwich Concours International; a concentration of imported sports, touring and competition cars from the 1900’s to present.

Admission is $25 per day, children 12-and-under are admitted free. The event beneficiary is Stamford-based Americares. Don’t let summer pass the finish line without setting your sites on these cars.

Frugal tips: Take advantage of a two day ticket discount, $40 for two days. Food is available onsite, but cut your budget by packing a picnic basket.

Event runs June 5th & 6th 2010. 10am to 5pm.
Limited events run June 4th.

Location: Roger Sherman Baldwin Park, 100 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT.
Free Parking.
