Ludlowe Baseball: Ludlowe Picks Up Important Win Vs Central

Ludlowe won a very important game on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 5-3. The Falcons needed the win after losing their previous two games.

Ludlowe played their best overall game of the year.

The Pitching was led by Senior Tim Moran who threw five innings of 6 hit, 3 run baseball. Peter Cross relived Moran and threw two perfect innings to pick up his first career varsity save.

Ludlowe’s offense was led by Mike Kochiss who had two hits and two runs scored and Mike Poudrier who had two hits. Sophomore Iann Villar contributed a 2 run single in his first career varsity game as he was called up from JV to help give the offense a boost, and he did just that.

Defensively the Falcons played flawlessly as it was the first game all season where the Falcons made zero errors.

Ludlowe improved to 3-2 on the season. The Falcons play next at home against St. Joseph’s on Friday.
