Ludlowe Baseball: Ludlowe Falls To Crosstown Rival Warde

Ludlowe fell to Warde by a score of 8-2 on Wednesday night at Harbor Yard.

Ludlowe came out strong in the first, going up 2-0 on a 2 run single by Mike Poudrier.

The score was not indicative of Ludlowe pitching as the defense committed several errors behind two Falcon pitchers.

Ludlowe was held to four hits and two runs by Warde ace Dan Warren. After the first inning, Warren allowed only one hit and two base runners through the final 6 innings.

Congrats to Warde who clinches a State Tournament berth with the win and improves to 8-3 overall and 6-3 in the FCIAC.

Ludlowe falls to 5-5 overall and 4-4 in the FCIAC. They play next on Thursday at home vs Stamford, looking to rebound off the tough game from tonight.
