Ludlowe Crusies To Victory Over Harding

Ludlowe defeated Harding by a score of 12-0 on Monday afternoon.

Ludlowe’s offense was hot early. They scored 3 runs in the first inning, 4 runs  in the second, and 5 in the 3rd. They were then held scoreless for the remainder of the game.

Victor D’Ascenzo had 3 hits and 3 runs scored, including a triple where he scored as the relay throw got away from the second baseman.

Tommy Howell and Charlie Meder both had multiple hits and runs scored.

There were many Falcon batters who had big games.

The pitching was  dominant. Peter Cross started and threw 3 shutout innings, while striking out 5. Dan Casey came out of the bullpen and threw 2 scoreless innings, striking out 4. Andrew Salveson, known by the team as “Weapon X”, threw the final 2 innings and just overpowered the President hitters.

The Falcons were having some fun at the end of the game allowing pitchers to get some at bats and even their manager Shawn Sailer an at bat. Sailer’s first varsity at bat resulted in a K but it was an awesome moment. The Falcons had even more fun sending the center fielder Meder to 1st base and Sailer to the outfield. It was a great day for the Ludlowe program

Ludlowe improved to 9-6 with the win, 8-5 in the FCIAC. They play next at home on Wednesday.
